Thunderbird 60 is currently in development but we can install it in our distribution for free and easy. There will also be a mbox and maildir format conversion tool that is still in the testing phase but is giving good results and that will allow the conversion of emails in these formats. In the mail aspect, Thunderbird 60 will allow compact the IMAP email account and we can use it compactly, saving hard disk space. Now not only will the calendar be part of the client but it will also be able to interact with the mail application, allowing to send events, create events according to email, etc.
